Buddha Nature
Based on the third turning of the wheel of the dharma, the third of the major Buddhist teachings, Pema Khandro discusses Buddha-nature. In Tibetan Buddhism, Buddha-nature refers to the intrinsic wakefulness, presence, luminosity and compassion that are within every individual. In the Dzogchen teachings this is understood to be the basis of every person and the pervasive creative presence in the entire phenomenal universe.
Dearest Rinpoche,
Believe it or not, I’ve (sort of) joined the 21st centrury and was actually reading your blog and watching your inspiring dharma video “shorts.” I loved it. I could access your brief video teachings on my PhoneBot or ComputerMachine, and felt closer to you and the dharma. Pocket Dharma! However, I’ve been unable to activate the video on the last two postings. I wonder if the format changed. Might it be possible for one of our tech-savvy Shanga members to contact me to help me stay in the loop? (Ray or Preston are you out there?)
Also, I so regreted having to miss your last visit to Berkeley, but hope to see you there next time.
In Highest Regard,
Asha
I love this concise, straightforward explanation of Buddha nature. It is very inspiring.
